Friday, February 16th, 2007Back on-line again after a slight accident that managed to make my website and email disappear for just over a week. Everything should be working ok now, apart from the downloadable music bit - this will hopefully be sorted this evening.
The problems started when i received an email on Tuesday from WiserHosting (the people hosting my website up until recently) telling me that my account would expire on the following Sunday, and that if I didn’t want to renew my account, i should email them straight away to stop my bank account being automatically debited.
As i wanted to do a bit more with my site than Wiserhosting could offer me, I decided to set up an account with Jaguar PC, a US based company that offers a million times more for your money than any UK based hosting provider i could find. I then emailed Wiserhosting, saying that i didn’t want to renew my account with them. Unfortunately, this was understood as ‘cancel my account immediately’, and the next thing i knew, stega.info was no more and all my emails were getting bounced. (Im sure Wiserhosting were never that efficient with previous issues I had had).
Anyway, instead of chasing them and getting them to put my site back up for a few more days, I just thought id wait till jaguar PC had sorted things out for me. Which unfortunately turned out to be a longer wait than i had hoped.
All back up and mostly working now though. Apologies for any bounced emails during this last week.
